Friday ratings: ‘Shark Tank’ returns strong, ‘Touch’ soft
ABC’s Shark Tank returned Friday night with a strong performance, while Fox’s Touch delivered a soft number in a new time slot.
Shark Tank launched its fourth season to 6.3 million viewers and a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49. That’s actually a series high for the business pitch show in terms of total audience, though in the key adult demo the hour matched January’s third season debut. ABC followed up with similarly solid premieres for Primetime: What Would You Do (5.3 million, 1.7) and 20/20 (6.1 million, 1.8)
Over on Fox, a special airing of Kiefer Sutherland’s mystical drama Touch (2.9 million, 0.7) performed weakly, which doesn’t bode well for the show’s official return Oct. 26. On The CW, the latest episode of the college edition of America’s Next Top Model (1.5 million, 0.7) climbed a tad.
