Gavin Rossdale is ready to put the past behind him.

More than a year after the Bush band member and his wife Gwen Stefani filed for divorce, both parties continue to get asked about their relationship and the split.

But in a new interview with The Sunday Times, Gavin sounds more than ready to move on once and for all.

“It’s like enough already. I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on,” he told the British newspaper. “For me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them.”

Gavin continued, “That’s the driving force behind everything. You just have to … I don’t know. Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen.”

Just last month, the announcement was made that the rock star would be joining The Voice U.K. as a coach alongside fellow musicians Will.i.am., Jennifer Hudson and Tom Jones.

“I’m so thrilled to be joining,” he said in a statement when the news first broke. “I’ve always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music and I can’t wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.”

And while the gig is certainly exciting, it’s being a hands-on dad for his boys that will remain the priority.

“They’re the guys—they’re my replacements. The better versions of me,” he shared with the publication via The Daily Mail. “I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that.”

As for his ex Gwen, she remains in a relationship with Blake Shelton. And when not hitting the road to support her newest solo album This Is What the Truth Feels Like, the performer is dedicated to co-parenting.

Not surprising for a pair who voiced their commitment to raising their three children together in a “happy and healthy environment.”
