George Clooney Made Amal Clooney Dinner for Their Second Wedding Anniversary: Was She Impressed…
How does one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples celebrate their anniversary? With food, of course!
As George Clooney and Amal Clooney commemorated their second year of marriage on Sept. 27, it was time to turn up the heat—in the kitchen.
“It’s very big news. Very, very big celebration—fireworks,” the Oscar-winning actor joked to E!’s Erin Lim about his plans with Amal. “Ok, I made dinner.”
Before we start oohing and aahhing, was the acclaimed lawyer pleased with her husband’s skills? “I don’t think she’s ever quite impressed with my cooking,” Clooney said.
However, he does have a strategy when it comes to preparing meals for Amal. “If I slap something together—spaghetti and meatballs—she doesn’t know that it comes in a jar, so I can just fool her with that one,” he said. Taste buds don’t lie, Clooney!
Since they are one of the most private pairs in Tinseltown, Lim asked the question on practically every fan’s mind—how do they keep it hot?
“I don’t know,” Clooney answered as he broke into laughter.
While it may be a mystery to Clooney, the couple was the picture of love Saturday night at MPTF’s 95th anniversary celebration, Night Under the Stars, where George was slated to give opening remarks.
An eyewitness exclusively tells E! News the two entered the green room before the show hand in hand and headed to the bar where George grabbed a bottle of his signature Casamigos Tequila and asked the bartender for a glass of it on the rocks.
Later, George had his arm around his wife as they spoke to fellow celebrity guests, including Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey.
At one point, Amal posed for a picture with actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, which George proceeded to photobomb.
Midway through the show, George took Amal by the hand over to the bar and buffet and asked if she wanted to eat.
“He tended to her. She affectionately brushed her hand across his cheek at one point while they were talking,” the eyewitness described. “George and Amal were very affectionate.”
