A new problem has been detected by Safari 5 users. Irrespective of the source of this application, whether it is Mac OS X 10.6.4 part or a separate download, after this program installation some application-generated messages appeared on a black background. Of course, they were unreadable.
It is necessary to note that this problem concerns generated e-mail texts. A command like “Send Email” shall be chosen in some applications. Let’s make a definite example to make this mechanism easier to understand. Preview of Mac OS X has a File menu command called a “Mail Selected PDF Document”. This feature automatically generates a Mail message which can be then edited before its transmission.
I decided to carry out a small test and launched that Preview command. In the end I saw my Mail message on the nontransparent black background. I initially attached a hyperlink which was of blue colour. Fortunately for me I could easily read such a blue text despite its awful background. But when, after that, I was trying to type something, no text was seen at all.
It is possible to get rid of this black background in two ways: with the help of “Make Plain Text” command and cut plus delete options.
