Idris Elba Confirms He’ll Be Back For Thor 2

Just a few days after it was confirmed that Jaimie Alexander would be returning to Asgard for Thor 2 comes word, via MTV, that Idris Elba will be back in the role of Heimdall as well.

“Thor 2 for sure,” Elba responded when asked about future appearances in the Marvel Universe, “… We’re going at it again.”

The actor did admit that he had not yet met with Alan Taylor, the recently-announced director of the Marvel Studios sequel. He was also less certain when asked if Heimdall might make a cameo appearance in Marvel’s The Avengers, confirming that he hasn’t been involved (at least so far) in that project.

Also confirmed to again star Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston, Thor 2 is planned to hit theaters on November 15, 2013.
