Sounds like a must-read to us!
Lynch has partnered with Hyperion’s Voice imprint to pen an autobiography focusing on her career in film and television and how getting sober and embracing her lesbianism helped her live a more fulfilling life.
“If I could go back in time and have a conversation with my 18-year-old self, the first thing I’d say is, ‘Lose the perm.’ Second, I would say, ‘Relax. Really—just relax. Don’t sweat it,’” says the actress, who landed an Emmy for her role as spitfire cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester. “For a long time, I was anxious and fearful that the parade would pass me by, and that someone or something outside myself had all the answers. Having finally reached a happy place—a happy accidents place—I want to share my story with others, to let them know things aren’t as bad as they fear.”
Lynch, 50, started her career with Chicago’s Second City comedy troupe and has gone to appear in a number of small screen shows and feature films including Boston Legal, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Julie & Julia.
