Janet — that’s Miss Jackson to you — is hitting the road for the first time since 2008 and she wants your help deciding which cities will be treated to lively performances of her hit classics, like “Escapade,” “The Pleasure Principle,” and “Together Again.”

The pop icon wants her fans to pick the 35 cities that will be part of her “largest ever world tour,” which comes in support of her recently-released Number Ones album.
Number Ones features over 30 of Janet’s biggest hits, including “Rhythm Nation,” “If,” “Nasty,” and her latest charttopping dance hit “Make Me.”

Scheduled to commence in 2011, Jackson promises that this tour will also be her most elaborate to date.

“Many of asked, ‘When will I tour again?’ Well, today I’m really excited to answer that question and to announce my largest ever world tour, celebrating 35 #1’s,” Janet said in a video message announcing the tour on Friday.

The world trek is Janet’s first since the trouble-prone “Rock Witchu” Tour, which featured Janet performing songs from her Discipline disc. Among the cities eligible for voting are New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Milan, Italy overseas.
