At least there’s plenty of material for monologues. Jimmy Kimmel Live will still film this week’s shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music starting Monday, as scheduled, despite Hurricane Sandy. “We are bringing in back-up generators and will be able to do our show in the event of a power failure,” a rep for the show tells EW in a statement. “We are also flying staff and crew out earlier to beat the storm. We have had no audience drop-outs so far despite news of the storm.” Earlier today, New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo ordered the suspension of all subway, bus and commuter railroad service starting at 7 p.m. ET Sunday.

Scheduled guests include Chris Rock, Kelly Ripa, and Alicia Keys on Oct. 29; Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings on Oct. 30; David Letterman and Vampire Weekend on Oct. 31; and Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and the Avett Brothers featuring the Brooklyn Philharmonic on Nov. 1. Guests for Nov. 2 are still to be announced.
