Miss America Caressa Cameron dropped by The View Wednesday with a very unlikely announcement for viewers: Wisecracking comedienne Joy Behar has been tapped to judge next month’s 2011 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas.

The Emmy-winning Behar will join a panel of seven celebs tapped to select the beauty queen who will accept the tiara in the 90th annual Miss America scholarship competition.

“My daughter said, ‘You call yourself a feminist? Judging the Miss America contest?” Behar quipped. “I will be looking for the one girl who has cellulite. I’m just warning you.”

Actress Marilu Henner, country singer Mark Wills, Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, Miss America 1990 Debbye Turner Bell, Dancing With the Stars’ Tony Dovolani, and shoe designer Taryn Rose round out the judging panel and will be on hand to assess the pageant’s 53 beauty queens in swimsuit, evening gown, talent, and interview competitions. The competition includes several days of preliminary competitions, including interviews with the judges.

The 2011 Miss America Pageant airs, live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Sin City, Jan. 5 @ 9PM on ABC.

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and Dancing With the Stars’ Brooke Burke will host the pageant, which returns to network TV for the first time since The Alphabet Network dumped the broadcast in 2004.
