Bieber Fever has officially gone country.

After releasing a Top 10 hit single with Ludacris, getting remixed by Kanye West and Raekwon, and rubbing elbows with Drake, Grammy-nominated pop sensation Justin Bieber is briefly setting aside his hip-hop ties to explore country music. Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox has revealed that the country group has recorded a song with the pop star.

“[Justin] asked us to do a duet with him on his next record,” Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox told Nashville radio station WSIX over the weekend. He said the collaboration is “actually a really good song!”

“I love @RascalFlatts and I’m honored that they are making music with me,” Bieber, 16, wrote in a Tweet to his more than six million followers on Twitter Monday. He linked to a video for the Rascal Flatts song “My Wish,” telling fans, “For those that dont know…they have great records like this one.”

Bieber’s next LP will serve as a follow up to 2010′s wildly-popular My World 2.0. The still-untitled set will feature possible collabos with R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs — the latter of which joined Biebs in the studio just last week.
