Kanye West Encouraged Kim Kardashian To Sing

Kanye’s got some ‘splainin’ to do after Kim Kardashian revealed that he’s the reason she’s laid down vocals on a pop song.

Kardashian famous for her bangin’ body and reality TV series credits The Walking Ego with giving her the confidence to test out her singing abilities.
The buxom pinup was initially reluctant to showcase her “singing voice,” but took on the project at the encouragement of Yeezy, ultimately recording the track “Turn It Up” with the help of superproducer The-Dream — whose hits include “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and “Umbrella.”

“OK, I’m not a singer, this isn’t what I do….”she told MTV.com last week. “Kanye was actually one of the people who really talked me into doing it and telling me, like, ‘Hey, look, what do you guys do for fun? You guys go shopping, you go to the movies. Kind of step into our world for a second and have fun, and we go to the studio.’”

On a lighter note, it sounds like KK won’t be dedicating the rest of her life to the recording industry (Thank you, Angels!)

“It’s just one song, and it’s just for fun,” says the socialite, who will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the tune to charity.

“Dream’s mother passed away of cancer and so did my dad, so half of the proceeds are going to a cancer organization…”
