Kanye West Tells Chicago Concert Crowd ''Tonight Is a Victory'' During Upbe…
Kanye West was in “good spirits” last night during the second evening of his Saint Pablo Tour in his hometown of Chicago, a source tells E! News.
And while the Grammy Award-winning rapper didn’t go on one of his usual speeches, he did speak to the sold-out crowd about how excited he was to be home.
“He seemed humble and inspired,” the eyewitness shared with us. “He sat back and listened to the crowd sing” throughout the concert.
“Chi Town I’m back in town,” the father of two told the audience after performing his hit track “Runaway.”
“I can safely say that tonight is a victory,” he was heard saying at one point before adding later on in the show, “If your dreams keep you up a night and your ideas keep you up at night then your vision will come alive.”
Noticeably absent from Saturday night’s show was none other than his wife, Kim Kardashian, who has been home in Los Angeles surrounded by close family and friends as she deals with the aftermath of last Sunday night’s break-in at her home in Paris.
However, there was one familiar face in the crowd last night during West’s show: Pascal Duvier, the couple’s main security guard.
E! News previously reported that Kim was bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint while masked men stole nearly $11 million worth of jewelry.
The following day, after speaking with local police authorities, Kim and Kris Jenner flew to New York City to be reunited with Saint, North and her husband.
And since then, she’s been keeping an extremely low profile back on the West Coast while her husband gets back on the road for his well-received tour.
At this point, neither Kim nor Kanye have publicly addressed last week’s robbery.
