Hollywood “D-Lister” Kathy Griffin is following in the footsteps of many an A-listers — including Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears — after landing a guest spot on FOX’s award-winning musical-comedy, Glee.
She’s one of two actresses, including Waiting to Exhale’s Loretta Devine, who have been cast to appear as judges at the Regional Glee Club Championship. But you’ll never guess who the foul-mouthed funny girl is using as inspiration for her Gleek alter-ego.
It seems The First Family of Conservatism is a well that has yet to run dry for the Emmy winner. We hear Griffin has been tapped Tammy, a character heavily based on former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, The Hollywood Reporter said this week. Yep, we’re talking about same Sarah Palin Kathy famously sparred with after using the politican’s teen mom daughter, Bristol, as a target in her stand-up act at 2010′s VH1 Divas! special.
Look out for Kathy’s Glee guest spot later this season.
