Kourtney Kardashian Breaks Silence Following Kim Kardashian's Traumatic Paris Robbery

No one who was with Kim Kardashian in Paris has spoken out, until now.

Kourtney Kardashian, who accompanied her sister, Kendall Jenner and mom Kris Jenner for their trip to the City of Light, took to Twitter to break her silence following the horrific robbery that took place at Kim’s apartment. And although Kourtney opted against using her own words, the message still spoke volumes.

The mother of three posted a photo of today’s passage from her daily devotional book with prayer hands on Twitter. The quote read, “Remember that joy is not dependent on your circumstances. Some of the world’s most miserable people are those whose circumstances seem the most enviable. People who reach the top of the ladder career-wise are often surprised to find emptiness awaiting them. True Joy is a by-product of living in My Presence. Therefore you can experience it in palaces, in prisons…anywhere.”

The passage continued, “Do not judge a day as devoid of Joy just because it contains difficulties. Instead, concentrate on staying in communication with Me. Many of the problems that clamor for your attention will resolve themselves. Other matters you must deal with, but I will help you with them. If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find joy even in your most difficult days.”

The devotional also included various verses, including one from Hebrew Bible prophet Habakkuk.

Kourtney is the first of Kim’s immediate family to (somewhat) openly address what happened to Kim. Caitlyn Jenner, however, did speak on the incident on social media yesterday.

The 66-year-old Olympian took to Instagram to share gratitude for her step-daughter’s well-being as well as offer advice to all of her fans and followers. “Love my girl!” Caitlyn wrote beside a black and white photo of Kim. “After hearing the full story, I’m so thankful she’s okay. It’s a reminder for us all to be careful in the uncertainty of this world.”

Though no one else has spoken out regarding the events—all of them staying silent on social media since that evening—they have shown their support in different ways. Kanye West and Kris Jenner, along with Kourtney, were photographed headed to the New York City apartment Kim is currently renting as a barrage of security guards continue to watch over the building.

Many of her friends—including Chrissy Teigen—have also reached out over social media.
