Leslie Jones Takes Home the Gold for Biggest Fan at the 2016 Rio Olympics: See Her Best Moments…
As we come to the conclusion of the 2016 Rio Olympics, we’ve realized it was missing one very important competition…
You see, one very talented, very enthusiastic woman used every ounce of energy in her body, never tiring when it came giving Olympic fans and followers precise, of-the-moment coverage about everything throughout the games. She was never defeated and may have even broken some records when it came to sharing behind-the-scenes videos and commentary straight from Rio—be it in the gymnasium, the pool, the beach and even a train!
For these reasons, E! News would like to present the one and only Leslie Jones with a gold medal for being the 2016 Olympics’ biggest fan!
Let’s take a look back at some of her highlights throughout the Rio Games:
From day one, she proved her dedication, wearing this amazing ensemble:
She even provided team USA with a unique, rhyming motto: “What up USA, we slay all day, and we don’t play, and we here to stay!”
She met Olympic volleyball stars Kerri Walsh and April Ross and made sure to get them extremely fired up:
And then danced like this when they won and moved into the quarterfinals.
And subsequently lost her s–t when they took home the bronze!
She also met U.S. gymnasts Aly Raisman and Simone Biles:
And a few swimmers, including Simone Manuel:
And gold medalist Katie Ledecky:
She even met “met where Katie came from,” aka her mom!
She hung out with fellow famous fans, like Matthew McConaughey:
And hugged Ryan Seacrest:
She got some great footage of Michael Phelps:
And supported him when he got one silver:
ANYBODY COMPLAINING ABOUT MICHAEL GETTING SILVER MEDAL!! SHOW ME YOUR MEDALS MUTHAFUCKA!! THEN WE CAN TALK!! UNTIL THEN HAVE SEVERAL SEATS!

She also stood up for Gabby Douglasagainst the haters, starting the hashtag #Love4GabbyUSA:
She got a swim cap from the USA swim team with her last name printed on it (even though she doesn’t know how to swim):
She also received her own USA parka from the water polo team:
Which she wore while eating nachos:
She succeeded in getting athletes to do stuff like this:
She got her own Snapchat filter and even painted her nails accordingly:
She made sure to give some solid fashion commentary, too:
And even made some observations while sitting on the beach during a break from the games:
She made sure to provide a little mystery with some suspicious-looking fruit in her hotel room:
She even managed to get us looking forward to the Winter Olympics (yes, already!) by meeting snowboarder Shaun White:
And she made her exit from Rio just as fabulous as her commentary throughout the games, dancing her way out:
