Lindsay Lohan Applies For Driver’s License; Fields Offers For “Out-Of-Rehab” Party

Lindsay Lohan’s “rehabilitated” (or so they say) and she’s wasting no time getting back on the roadways.

On Wednesday, Lohan applied for a California driver’s licence mere hours after completing her sentence for a 2007 DUI arrest, OK! Magazine tipsters tattle.

The Freaky Friday actress was ordered to spend 90 days in rehab at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles but was instead released from the facility on Tuesday after just 23 days on the advice of her doctor.

Lohan’s license was suspended three years ago as part of a plea deal for a pair of drug and alcohol-related arrests. Now that she’s no longer on probation, the notoriously-loopy Lohan is ready to get back behind the wheel. She visited a DMV office in Santa Monica this week, where she filled out the necessary paperwork to have her driving privileges reinstated.

“Lindsay went to the DMV in Santa Monica today. You’re not allowed to drive if you are on probation for DUI, but she went to jail for ignoring her rules of probation on DUI, and she’s served her time so she can re-apply,” says an OK! spy.

Interesting that Linds is on the hunt for a California license. Lohan had been threatening to leave Los Angeles after her release from rehab and head back to her native New York. A move that may well send the nightlife economy of Los Angeles down the toilet, if she ever makes good on it. Or not, since she seems to never want to pay for anything anyway!

Speaking of partying, those in the know have come up with an interesting way for Lindsay to finance a new whip if she so chooses — an “out-of-rehab party.”

That’s right, Lohan’s friends have reporting been busy calling several of the hottest clubs in the City of Angels to see if they would interested in hosting a “Welcome Home From Rehab For The Third Time!” party for Lindsay. In fact, Lindsay could pocket six figures for the event.

“Lindsay had been turning up at clubs for free or for a few thousand dollars before she want to jail,” one Hollywood promoter told PopEater’s Naugthy But Nice Column on Thursday. “But now after rehab her first appearance would be a huge press opportunity and totally worth big bucks. I could see her getting as much as $100,000 if she threw her party in one of the big Vegas clubs.”

The troubled starlet has reportedly been offered $1 million to sell her first post-jail interview to OK!
