Lindsay Lohan is speaking out against Egor Tarabasov. 

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, the actress reveals new details about the tumultuous environment she dealt with during her relationship with the 23-year-old Russian businessman. After the actress made multiple claims alluding to her fiancé’s infidelity as well as a pregnancy on social media last month, Lohan now tells the newspaper Egor has been abusive to her on multiple occasions. 

‘It’s not the first time. That’s the problem. But this time, someone saw,” the Mean Girls star said, referring to a dramatic fight the two had on her London apartment balcony that was caught on film and later shared online.

Of that night, Lohan says that after going on a “fun” date together, “We got home, I went to bed and Egor went out. A few hours later he came back and when I woke up he was standing over me. He wasn’t himself, he was being very aggressive and he attacked me.”

The 30-year-old says, “I didn’t call anyone, I’ve dealt with enough police in LA,” but instead retreated to the privacy and comfort of her friends in St. Tropez and Italy. 

Lohan says her decision to reveal intimate, painful details comes from a place of fear. 

“I wanted to do this interview because it’s time to tell the truth,” she told the paper. “There have been so many lies printed about me recently. I’ve kept quiet for so long but now I’m scared of what Egor might do to me and to himself.”

As for the future of her relationship with Egor, Lindsay says she isn’t sure how to move forward without opening old wounds. “I need closure,” she said, adding, “I genuinely fell in love with him but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe.” 

Lohan also claims she suggested the pair attend couples’ counseling, but has since realized, “…There comes a time when I have to put myself first, my family, and also think about my career which I’ve worked so hard for. I also don’t want to let my fans down by not being the strong woman I have become.”

“I realize now you can’t stay in a relationship just for love,” Lohan added. “No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry.”
