The Bel Air home where pop icon Michael Jackson spent his last days has been put on the market with an asking price of $29 million, TMZ.com reported on Wednesday.

The home’s owner, Ed Hardy CEO Hubert Guez, rented the mansion to Jackson in 2009 as the singer rehearsed his for his This Is It Tour at London’s O2 Arena. Guez apparently tried to sell the property for $38 million in 2008 before agreeing to rent it to Jackson.

The 17,171 square foot French chateau is located in the affluent Los Angeles suburb of Holmby Hills and boasts seven bedrooms, a seven-car garage, and 13 bathrooms!

Interested buyers must undergo an “extensive pre-qualifying check” to tour the home, in an effort to stave off diehard fans wanting to see where the King of Pop died.

The “Thriller” hitmaker died suddenly on June 25, 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest at the home, just weeks before launching his comeback.
