Michael J Fox will make a special appearance at this year’s Spike TV Scream Awards on Oct. 19.
Fox will be revisiting his iconic time-traveling character, Marty McFly — a role the five-time Emmy winner played in three Back to the Future films — in honor of the 25 year anniversary of the BTTF franchise. MJF will be joined by former series co-stars Lea Thompson, who played his mom Lorraine Baines McFly in trilogy, and actress Elisabeth Shue. This trailer promoting the reunion features close-up shots of McFly’s classic trainers and sunglasses, as well as various images of the film’s time-traveling vehicle, a modified DeLorean DMC-12.
In case you hadn’t heard, AMC Theatres is holding two special screenings of the digitally remastered time-travel movie on 158 screens across 40 cities on Saturday, October 23 at 12.30pm and Monday, October 25 at 7 PM. The Monday showing holds special significance as it is the date Marty first travelled from 1985 to 1955.
