Sir Mick Jagger delighted students at his former school by making a personal visit to debut new rooms at an arts centre named in his honour.

The Rolling Stones frontman visited Dartford Grammar School for Boys in Kent to open an extension to the Mick Jagger Centre – 10 years after he first launched it.

“I”ve been given a very warm welcome, I was taken to the headmaster”s office. It”s always difficult to go into that room, without feeling a pang of some sort of guilt!” the Daily Star quoted Jagger as saying.

Jagger also spoke of his love for his hometown

He said: “It”s part of your consciousness, you”re brought up somewhere for this very formative part of your life.

“I didn”t move around, I was just here. So, it helps to create you in a lot of ways,” he added.
