Natalie Portman’s ‘Days of Abandonment’ Dead at HBO After


“The Days of Abandonment,” a function movie set at HBO and starring Natalie Portman, is now not transferring ahead on the community after Portman unexpectedly left the venture.

“The Days of Abandonment” was in pre-production at HBO and was to be directed by Maggie Betts based mostly on a novel by creator Elena Ferrante, however manufacturing will now not transfer ahead.

Ferrante is the creator of “My Brilliant Friend” and “The Lost Daughter,” which can be being tailored right into a function movie directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Dakota Johnson, Olivia Colman and Peter Sarsgaard.

“The Days of Abandonment” is a 2002 novel that was republished in English in 2005, and Portman was meant to play Tess, a girl who deserted her personal desires for a steady house life and is in flip deserted by her husband, throwing her world off its axis.
