'Ouija: Origin of Evil' Brings Horror Into the Real World With This Fun, Vintage Ad
If October has you in the mood to watch a new horror movie on the big screen, unfortunately this year your options are pretty limited. For whatever reason, major studios have stopped inundating pre-Halloween weekends with new horror movies. Fortunately, however, Ouija: Origin of Evil, the one wide horror release coming up, actually looks pretty good.
Directed by Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus), Ouija: Origin of Evil is, as the name implies, a prequel to the 2014 movie about teens who make the grave mistake of dabbling with a spirit board. This one is set in the late ’60s and is about a family who runs a scam seance business who accidentally open up a very real connection to the spirit world.
Sticking with the period setting, Ouija: Origin of Evil has put out this vintage ad for an old Hasbro Ouija board. It’s a fun clip on its own, but it goes one step further by including a phone number. Give it a call. It’s worth it.
Ouija: Origin of Evil is in theaters October 21, 2016.
