Academy Award winners Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have tied the knot!
Capping off a weekend of high-profile nups, on Tuesday evening, Amanda Silverman, a rep for the Vanilla Sky actress, confirmed reports that the notoriously low-key couple were married in a ceremony at a friend’s house in the Bahamas earlier this week.
Cruz wore a wedding dress designed by longtime friend and fashion designer John Galliano as the couple wed in the company of a small group of family members.
The newlyweds — who both hail from Spain — appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Cruz, 36, won a supporting-actress Oscar for her role. Bardem, who is 41, won a supporting-actor Oscar for the 2007 crime thriller No Country for Old Men.
