No, it’s not April Fool’s Day. And surprisingly, no, he’s not even playing a scrubby street urchin or the village leper.
Brave producers have cast the drug-addled muso in an adaptation of the French novel La Confession d’un Enfant du Siècle playing womanizing poet Alfred de Musset alongside female lead Charlotte Gainsbourg.
We didn’t even know he could act!
And miraculously, Pete actually turned up when filming began in Germany last week.
