Rajneeti: Its all about power and money

Rajneeti, the much hyped film by Prakash Jha with politics as its main flavor is due for release on coming Friday. The film according to the ace director is mostly focused on stress in relationships, balancing power strategies and the dirtiness in elections and politics.

It is an effort to present the hidden dubious scandals and controversial issues in politics. Leading actors from Bollywood like Nasseruddin Shah, Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpai, Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina Kaif and Sarah Thompson are a part of this film. Arjun Rampal has got a meaty role in the film.

While speaking to the reporters, Jha said that it was not a very soft paced movie; rather it is crisply edited and is a very volatile film which will entertain the public completely for 3 hours.

He further added that the main intention of the movie is to entertain people and get awarded and rewarded for the effort.  The movie has not been made from the point of view of teaching or preaching anyone.

The movie is produced by UTV productions at the cost of $ 21 million (98 crores) and will be distributed by Prakash Jha Productions, Walkwater media, UTV motion pictures and around 2100 prints are being distributed world wide.

The shooting of the film was completed in Bhopal and the film is a general overview of the treacherous scenario in Indian politics.
