Sometimes estranged father-daughter duo Ryan and Tatum O’Neal are one of two celebrity families who have landed a docu-soap on the soon-to-go-live Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN execs announced on Monday.

Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals is scheduled to premiere on the network early next year. Billed as a tell-all reality show, the program will follow the drug-addled father and daughter stars as they rebuild their stormy relationship and struggle to overcome their persistent substance-abuse problems. The O’Neals reconciled in 2009 after the five-year estrangement that followed the release of Tatum’s bestselling memoir.

OWN is also planning a docu-series starring mother and daughter country music stars Naomi and Wynonna Judd.

“We’re excited these two iconic families are allowing us to chronicle their personal stories as they embark on new chapters. We think our viewers will relate to the complex and dynamic relationships of Wynonna and Naomi Judd and Ryan and Tatum O’Neal,” Lisa Erspamer, OWN’s chief creative officer, said in a statement today.

The Oprah Winfrey Network premieres in January.
