At the Communication 2010 show in Singapore on June 15, one of the main news from there was that Samsung has announced additions to its Glaxy, Omina and Wave lineups of smartphones. Reports say that the additions have brought forth the commitment of the company towards its open-source Bada plateform and also for its Android and Windows enabled mobile phones.

Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 are the two new Android smartphones announced by the company for lower-end income groups. These are newest line-ups from the flagship device, the Glaxy S.

Each of the new line-ups will run on Android 2.1 and have the TouchWiz 3.0 interface. Galaxy 3 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 240-by 400 pixel display and has a 3-megapixel camera.
