Sarah drops the ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ mic on Chad
Tuesday night’s (Aug. 2) premiere of “Bachelor in Paradise” stood out as a shining example of why it may be insane to sign on to do a reality show.
Chad joined the series in order to rehab his image, but instead fell victim to every trope in the book. He went H.A.M. on the open bar, subsequently blacked out and became the worst version of himself in front of millions of viewers.

After making out with Lace, Chad uses classy terms like: “fucking bitch” and “cunt.” Disgusted, Sarah Herron replies, “The way you’re talking about women is so disrespectful, I want nothing to do with it. Nothing.” But instead of taking the note, Chad finds it all hilarious.
So of course, he continues. “You’re a one-armed bitch,” he says to Sarah, before repeatedly telling her to “suck that dick.”
The next sober morning, when most people would be quick to apologize for such gross comments, Chad walked around like nothing happened. Sarah confronted him while somehow remaining cool, calm and collected.
“I think you were incredibly disrespectful last night,” she tells him. “And you said really horrible things to Lace, and about women and me.”

Taking the high road, Sarah offered an olive branch to Chad. Instead, he snapped it in two and tossed it into the proverbial fire. Instead of delivering any sort of apology, he stood by his sexist comments. “It’s a joke,” he says,” Can’t y’all take jokes?” Of course, they can take jokes, Chad — the jokes just have to be funny.
So, unsurprisingly, Tuesday night marked the end of King Chad’s reign in Bachelor Nation. He once was the bad boy everyone loved to hate. But now, it’s just hate. It wasn’t until that realization hit that Chad finally felt he may need to say sorry.
The eight second video he posted on Twitter is too little too late … for both his once fevered fans and, of course, for Sarah.
Continuing to discuss Chad only gives this bully what he wants: attention. If everyone keeps talking about the situation, it just adds more fuel to the fire. And Sarah realized this.
Mic. Dropped.
Chad is always yammering on and on about his “Dolla dolla billz, yall,” and now it’s time for him to put his money where his mouth is. It seems Sarah is willing to accept a long overdue apology if he donates to SheLift — her non-profit, whose main mission is to empower women.
While it’s yet to be seen if The Chad will donate, numerous fans have jumped to her site to donate money. And the silver lining appears …

The protein-packing meathead from Oklahoma still doesn’t get it, though. Soon after, he tweeted the same meme he first used while on “Bachelorette.”
Chad’s 15 minutes may just be up.
“Bachelor in Paradise” airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
