Hawaii Five-O star Scott Cann injured his knee on set earlier the month, The New York Post said Wednesday.
Cann tore his ACL while filming a stunt for the action show and flew back to Los Angeles this week, where he underwent outpatient surgery for the painful knee injury.
“Yes, his injury will be noted in the story line,” a CBS rep confirmed. “Partnering with someone like Steve McGarett, you’re bound to get a few bumps and bruises.”
The actor — who plays Detective Steve McGarrett’s right hand man Danno Williams on the revival of the longrunning CBS crime drama — will be able to continuing working with the injury and is already scheduled to resume filming on Hawaii Five-O Season One Aug. 23.
Hawaii Five-O — a contemporary take on the classic drama series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches — premieres on CBS next month.
