‘Supergirl’ exclusive: Mon-El’s first day at work
If you’re not already smitten with “Supergirl’s” newest alien ally, prepare to fall head over heels in love with Mon-El on Monday’s (Nov. 7) newest episode, titled “Crossfire.”
Now that Mon-El (Chris Wood) has officially been classified as a non-threat — unless you’re a drunk frat guy, that is — his main priority is assimilation on earth, a task made easier by Kara (Melissa Benoist), who gets him his first job at CatCo.
Not for nothing, but Mon-El’s only previous job experience includes being a royal palace guard on Daxam, so we’re not sure he’s exactly cut out for intern work.
Luckily for him, his winning smile and utterly adorable bow tie should do most of the work for him.

In Screener’s exclusive sneak peek, Mon-El, a.k.a Mike, arrives at his first day of work, ready and eager to pass out bribery coffee and grins. He’s less enthusiastic about meeting the boss, however. It’s too soon to tell if Mon-El and James’ (Mehcad Brooks) tense first meeting will set the tone for their relationship overall in Season 2, but so far they’re not off to a great start.
We’re not 100 percent sure yet if Mon-El’s friendship with Kara will turn towards romance, but a distinct dislike for ex-love interests seems to be a possible building block in that direction.
If anything, at least we know Kara’s newest super-friend will push James one step closer to his inevitable future as a vigilante.
“Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
