Scottish songstress Susan Boyle has pulled out of live performance on Tuesday night’s Dancing With The Stars Results Show after falling ill with a crippling throat infection.

Her condition is reportedly so severe, doctors have ordered the former spinster not to leave her Scotland home.

Yikes!

SuBo is getting an early start promoting the release of her first holiday album, The Gift, and had been set to sing a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” — which has famously been covered by a host of artists including Jeff Buckley, k.d. Lang and Alexandra Burke — on the ballroom dancing competition. The performance was scheduled in the wake of her cancelled appearance on America’s Got Talent last month. Susan, 49, was due to sing her rendition of Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day” with a 100-piece children’s choir on Sept. 9, but the performance was axed at the last minute because the rights to the song weren’t cleared in time for American audiences.

Susan’s Dancing With The Stars performance would have been her second on the series: The crooner dropped by last season to sing her signature track “I Dreamed a Dream,” garnering rave reviews.
