A Sydney schoolboy, Kundai Chiundiza, has died after he was injured in a rugby match. He was studying in Year 11 at St Andrews Cathedral School.

According to the reports, he was participating in a rugby match and was injured during the match on Saturday. Immediately after that he started vomiting on the sidelines of the game and an ambulance was called. He was then admitted to Campbelltow Hospital. Later he was sent to home with his mother. The school’s Principal John Collier has said that the cause of death has not been confirmed yet. But it is believed that he died because of the heavy tackle in the rugby match. He said that the school pays for the 16-year old boy’s mother, and father who work in Africa.

The principal in a statement described Kundai as a lovely boy with a passionate about sport and he enjoyed life and being in the school. The head of emergency at Campbell town Hospital, Dr Sellappa Prahallath also has expressed his deep condolences to the boy’s family and said that this was a tragic death. He said that the hospital would review the case fully. The New South Wales Health Minister also offered his condolences.
