The Ladies of London Learn the Hard Way That No One Tells Caroline Stanbury What to Do
Three seasons in, you’d think Caroline Stanbury‘s friends on Ladies of London would know by now that the woman is no pushover. Apparently, that’s not the case.
In this sneak peek of tonight’s new episode, exclusive to E! News, another weekend getaway hosted by Julie Montagu at the infamous Mapperton Estate goes south when the ladies decide dinner is the perfect time to confront queen bee Caroline over her refusal to tag along on the following day’s planned boating excursion.
After getting things started, Julie quickly turns to Caroline Fleming for assistance in getting her point across. What point exactly, you ask? “When you are given a choice, you are given a choice,” Fleming explains. “And when you are not given a choice, there’s no choice.”
“I couldn’t have said it better myself,” Julie chimes in. From there, it’s off to the races, with Stanbury’s former allies, soon-to-be ex-sister-in-law Sophie Stanbury and friend Adela King, joining in choir of voices attempting to browbeat Caroline into doing something she simply doesn’t want to. It’s Adela’s ferociousness that surprises Juliet Angus, forcing her to speak up.
“Adela, you’re getting quite spicy with one of your very dear friends tonight,” she tells the recent addition to the cast.
In the end, it appears the ladies’ combined efforts may be a lost cause because, like, we told you, no one tells Caroline Stanbury what to do. “I’m a 40-year-old woman, I’m not four. If I don’t want to go fishing, I’m not going fishing. Nobody told me I was coming on a fishing trip,” she says, standing her ground.
In fairness, if you took us outside of the city with the promise of a relaxing countryside weekend, only to force a fishing trip on us, we’d probably be pretty peeved ourselves. To see it all go down, check out the video above. And to see whether Caroline eventually gives in to keep the peace, make sure you tune in.
Elsewhere in the episode, Fleming seeks help from a therapist, while Marissa Hermer must cancel her party when baby Sadie gets sick.
Ladies of London airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
