Watch: 'As They Continue To Fall' Wages War on Angels

As They Continue To Fall has a rather fun origin story. A few years ago screenwriter C. Robert Cargill (Sinister) was active on Reddit, where he’d occasionally cross paths in a screenwriting subreddit with a young man named Nikhil Bhagat. Bhagat was about to start working on his thesis project for film school, but didn’t have a script he liked. He took a big swing and asked Cargill if he’d want to write it. Much to his surprise, Cargill said yes.

Bhagat then took that script and ran with it, creating a slickly-made short film about a seemingly homeless drifter who is somehow caught up in a war with angels. And now the filmmaker is trying to take things even further, wanting to turn the short into a feature film. It certainly seems like this is just the tip of the iceberg, so we wish him luck.

If you want more of Cargill’s work, you won’t have to look too hard to find it. He was a co-writer on Doctor Strange, which hits theaters in just a few weeks, but we’re guessing that one wasn’t written on a whim at the random request of a student filmmaker.
