U.S health authorities have revealed that the drugs widely used for reduction of weight have also the potential to damage to your liver.
American people can have the drug orlisat for weight loss under prescription. The drug is sold by the name of Xenical and is available over the counter as Alli.
According to a statement released by the health officials, the drug has been held responsible for damaging of liver and causing injury to it. These cases are reported due to orlisat. 12 cases have been reported from overseas. One case is from U.S.
However, considering that some 40 million people take the drug for weight loss, the Center for Liver Disease has maintained that there is no cause of worry and panic. FDA also has said that consumers and health-care providers are being asked to be vigilant for the symptoms of liver disease in those who take these drugs.
