WonderCon: ‘Fringe’ producers, stars John Noble and Joshua Jackson promote the drama’s return with ‘Walterisms’
It’s a WonderCon start for a wonderful week for fans of Fringe. At the fanboy fest on Sunday, exec producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman were joined by cast members Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Blair Brown, and Seth Gabel to hype the sci-fi drama’s return this coming Friday following a four-week break – the second momentum-sapping sabbatical of the show’s fourth season. But let’s not dwell on the negatives — sources confirm to EW that Fox and Warner Bros. Television are actively talking about bring the ratings-challenged cult fave back for a fifth season. Encouraging news. So is this: “A Short Story About Love” – airing on March 23 — is a high grade, can’t-miss episode of Fringe. BEGIN SPOILER ALERT! From our preview in this week’s issue of EW: “Agent Dunham (Anna Torv) chases a perfume-making loony while Peter (Jackson) discovers a secret literally stuck to his eyeball in a macabre, revelatory, and (surprise!) deeply romantic winner. Mythology geeks will dig the visit to The Observer’s apartment. Shippers will swoon over the ending.
