After much speculation that she is pregnant, much avoidance of questions by the media, and much — ok, a little — weight gain, Mariah Carey is finally going to tell us what’s going on.
The songbird is set to make a mayjah announcement on NBC’s The TODAY Show Thursday as she kicks off the promo tour for her sophomore holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, in stores Nov. 2.
Carey, 40, has been married to television personality Nick Cannon, 30, for two years. Sources close to Cannon and Carey claim the pop icon is expecting a son — the first child for the couple — after undergoing in vitro fertilization at the Southern California Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills.
According to Cannon, Mariah has said that tomorrow’s announcement will “enlighten people” as to what’s going on, and that the baby rumors and speculation have become “too much” for her.
Sounds like a pregnancy announcement to us…
