The CW has chosen its Green Arrow. The series, based on the DC comic about an archer superhero, was picked up to pilot earlier this month. The titular role goes to Stephen Amell, the actor who Hung fans will recognize as the younger, prettier dude who moved in on Thomas Jane’s gigolo territory. He’s also been a favorite at The CW, with recurring roles in The Vampire Diaries and 90210

How to Be a Gentleman just got a rude awakening. CBS has shut down production on the comedy even though only two episodes have made it to air. N18027 260x195 Gentlemen Broncos bucks shot at being funny

At first glance, a movie that includes science fiction, home schooling, bad fashion, small-town Utah, an appealing teen boy and a pompous writer looks like it might have some redeeming comedic features.

Then there’s “Gentlemen Broncos.” The only redeeming things about this film are the music and the fact that its actors turn in some decent performances. Because the script and the editing are probably the weakest I’ve seen since “Showgirls.” At least “Showgirls” is so bad you can revel in its craptacularness. There’s no reveling in anything here.
