The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced that Morgan Freeman will be the 2012 recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille award. Details from the HFPA’s official announcement are as follows:

The announcement was made at the Beverly Hilton by Amy Adams and Pedro Almodovar who were introduced by Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Dr. Aida Takla-OReilly.
