“Lost” Alum Henry Ian Cusick Lands Recurring Role On “Law & Order: SVU”

Former Lost cast member Henry Ian Cusick has signed up for a recurring role on the long-running TV crime drama Law & Order: SVU, TV Guide said Wednesday.

Cusick is best remembered for playing Desmond Hume on the supernatural mystery series Lost, which wrapped production on its sixth and final season in May. He’ll be playing graphic artist Erik Weber, a possible love interest for Det. Olivia Benson — played by actress Mariska Hargitay — in at least episodes of SVU premiering this fall.

“There might be some flirtation. Erik meets Olivia when he comes to someone’s aid. And then we’ll see how it goes. Olivia is devoted to her job and knows that comes first,” SVU executive producer Neal Baer divulged to the site.

Baer says he hired Cusick because he is “a sharp, smart leader and very charismatic.”
