Everything Oprah touches doesn’t turn to ratings gold after all.

The Queen of Talk’s latest syndicated spawn is struggling in the ratings. Her interior designer protégé Nate Berkus — who debuted his own daytime talk show last month — is only earning about 1.2 million viewers a day — a distant second to fellow newcomer Swift Justice with Nancy Grace, who attracts about 2 million viewers a day, The New York Post has learned.

“Possibly tripping Berkus up: his unfocused show spans topics ranging from celebrity interviews to household tips,” The Hollywood Reporter’s Lindsay Powers hypothesizes.

Winfrey previously launched daytime shows of Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray and Dr. Oz. Each became the highest-rated new program of the year.
