Now here’s something to sing about: The 2010 Primetime Emmy nods are in and hit musical comedy Glee and critically acclaimed drama series Mad Men led Thursday’s nominations.
Glee garnered 19 nominations overall while AMC’s Mad Men claimed 17 nods for the television industry’s highest honors. NBC’s slapstick comedy 30 Rock netted 15 nominations, including those for series Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, giving it one more nomination than ABC freshman comedy Modern Family. In addition, Conan O’Brien’s brief stint at host of NBC’s The Tonight Show snagged a nomination as Best Variety, Music or Comedy Series.
The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air Sunday, Aug. 29, @ 8PM ET on NBC.
