Tattles reportedly tell The National Enquirer (Consider the Source!) that the ladies bonded after meeting for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month. Still sexy at 64, Cher presented Gaga — who at 24, is young enough to be the music luminary’s granddaughter — with the Video of the Year Award. The gals have become fast friends and are toying with the idea of having a Cher feature on Gaga’s eagerly-awaited new album, Born This Way, or performing live together, spywitnesses squeal.

“They are now like mother and daughter,” author Mark Bego, who has penned two books about the “Turn Back Time” singer, tells The Enquirer.“They both take their outlandish fashion sense dead seriously, both have a sense of humour about themselves, and they are both staunch gay rights activists.”
