Apple iPad being sold unofficially in Indian markets

Apple iPad that was announced for an official launch in India around May-June 2010 is currently being sold in Indian gray markets. The 16 GB and 32 GB versions of the Apple’s latest gadget are being available in markets of Kolkata and Delhi markets.

The Indian sellers are making twice the profits than US as they are selling Apple iPads at double the price equivalent US. The iPad 16 GB has original cost of Rs. 22,500 that is being sold unofficially in India at Rs. 42,000 while the 32 GB version of iPad that has original price tag of Rs. 26,000 is available at Rs. 52,000 in Indian gray markets.

iPads here are of Wi-Fi version that hardly needs cracking or jail breaking which means they can be launched anywhere unofficially.

Moreover both these versions are being sold without any warranty as well as post sales service support, still people are buying it blindly.
