Audi to release its fastest car R8 GT at Worthersee Tour in Austria

Audi, the renowned German auto maker is all set to release its most powerful, lightest and fastest R8 GT super car publicly at Worthersee Tour in Austria that begins from May 12 till May 15, 2010.

Audi R8 GT will be presented along with 19 Audi vehicle including Audi A 1 as well. The engine’s power has been increased to 05.02 V10 560 hp (412 kW) and the weight has been reduced by about 100 kg. The R8 GT takes only 3 seconds to go up to speed of 100 km / h and has a top speed of 320 km / h. The Car provides an EU Combined fuel economy of 20.6mpg.

Only 333 copies of the R8 GT car will be showcased at the event that comes with price tag of £142,585 and will be available in 4 colors like Samoa Orange Metallic, Suzuka Gray Metallic, Ice Silver Metallic and Phantom Black Pearl Effect.

The R8 has won the title of the “World Performance Car” in 2008 (R8) and 2010 (R8 V10) and the racing version, the R8 LMS has won 3 titles when succeeded in 23 races in its first season.
