Normally when we’re envious of a celeb’s wardrobe, it’s because they’ve got a closet full of pricey pumps or the It Bag that we won’t be able to afford no matter how many pennies we pinch. But in the case of Zoë Saldana, Elizabeth Olsen and Rashida Jones, it’s because they’re the first stars to step out in the covetable Prabal Gurung for Target collection — three days before it hits stores.
Gurung’s longtime fan Saldana was spotted in L.A. wearing a $ 29.99 sweatshirt from the collection. That sweatshirt was one of the first things to sell out at an N.Y.C. shopping preview event (attended by Olsen in a $ 39.99 dress and Jones in a $ 34.99 blouse from the collection) that was packed with VIPs clamoring to go on the indoor carnival rides, get a glimpse of Ne-Yo and, yes, get first dibs on clothes from the line.
Though we appreciate any excuse to get to Target (have you SEEN those $ 1 bins?!) we can’t help but think it would be awfully nice to get our favorite pieces on our doorstep, no early-a.m. alarms and sell-out anxiety required.
