Chris Noth Regrets Reprising Mike Logan Role For “Law & Order: C.I.”

In 2005, Sex And The City star Chris Noth revived his Law & Order alter ego — play-by-no-rule Det. Mike Logan — for three seasons on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In large part to help exhausted series star Vincent D’Onofrio. But Noth has grown to regret returning to the L&O because his turn on the cop drama stifled his creativity.

“I never really believed I fit in that show. I did it because the deal was so good and I didn’t have to do every episode (and) Vince needed a break,” he tells Cigar Aficionado Magazine. “We did some good shows. We had a good crew and I liked the people. But I don’t want to do something that’s just comfort food,” Noth explains. “Those procedurals (shows) lull you into a certain state because they all look the same and they’re death to the creative process for an actor.”
