Xtina gets “Back To Basics:” It’s a happy Thursday for devoted fans of pop powerhouse Christina Aguilera. This morning, the embattled singing superstar rolled out the buzzed-about video promo for “You Lost Me,” the power ballad featured on her so far commercially-unsuccessful LP, Bionic.
Director Anthony Mandler, who wrote the treatment for the vid, explained the concept in a chat with PopEater last week: “From the first keys of the opening of the track, we know that we are about to watch something that is going to move and transform us. In the end, we’ve traveled through Christina’s world. One that is physical, mental and spiritually charged. Nothing is what it seems. Everything is fractured and evolving, falling away … fragile…”
