Darren Aronofsky Rachel Weisz Split…Is Daniel Craig To Blame?

Actress Rachel Weisz has split from her director beau Darren Aronofsky after eight years of dating.

The Academy Award winner began dating the buzzworthy lensman in 2002 and the pair became engaged in 2005.
Aronofsky and Weisz collaborated on the film The Fountain and are the parents of a 4-year-old boy, but never quite made it down the aisle.

“Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have been separated for some months. They remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in New York City,” spokesfolks for the couple said in a statement issued to TMZ.

For the past several months, Weisz has been romantically-linked to Daniel Craig, her co-star in the upcoming movie, Dream House, the entertainment news Web site reported Tuesday. Reps for Weisz, however, refused to comment on a possible link between the affair rumors and Rachel’s suddenly single status.

The British-born Rachel’s credits include The Mummy, The Lovely Bones, and My Blueberry Nights. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for The Constant Gardner in 2006.
Director Darren, 41, enjoyed acclaim with The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke, and his next film, Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, is already an early Oscar favorite.

The exes will share custody of their son, Henry Chance.
