David Hasselhoff To Host CW Gulf Oil Spill Tribute Show “The Gulf Is Back”

David Hasselhoff has signed on to host a television special paying tribute to the victims of the oil spill that devastated the Gulf of Mexico.

On Aug, 27 (8PM-9PM ET), The CW Networkwill air The Gulf Is Back, a one-hour special that will pay tribute to the people of Mississippi and the entire Gulf region. The show will include tributes to the residents of Mississippi and real life stories of those whose livelihood has been affected by th spill, which has caused havoc in areas along the Gulf Coast after a BP oil rig ruptured in April.

The Gulf is Back will be filmed over two days of free concerts at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi and is set to feature musical performances by Ricky Skaggs, Lonestar, Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice, Taylor Hicks, Ace Young, Kyle and Chris Massey, Terri Clark, Drake Bell, and Brian McKnight.
